I was born in Hatay, in 1975. I completed my high school education in Izmir (Izmir Ataturk High School) and graduated from Marmara University, Communication Sciences, Department of Cinema and Television in Istanbul.

In a professioal manner, I began working as a journalist for the newspaper Hurriyet. Between 1999-2006, I worked as a photojournalist for newspaper Star, at news centers in Istanbul and in Ankara. During this period, I had right to take part in a 2 year long seminar “Turkey’s Project” organized by World Press Photo. I was trained on photojournalism by qualified photo editors and photographers in their fields. Projects that I worked on were exhibited andpublished by World Press Photo. I am still working for the newspaper Takvim, at news center as a photojournalist, in Ankara.

I am taking photos of daily politic improvements and activities and also everything that is worth reporting like international meetings, military operations, fashion shows, promotion campaigns, all sports and social events and details of daily life in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, which is in the EU access.

In parallel with my job, I am working on long-term and documentary styled projects.

I live in Ankara. I have yellow press card and driving licence. I can speak and write English at an intermediate level.
